About Us

Our Mission

DEFA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aims to provide children from all walks of life equal educational opportunities and encourage inclusivity within teaching. Our content is mostly based on ethnic studies and topics range from general studies to specific ones such as ethnomusicology. We provide volunteering and tutoring opportunities as well and they serve to give people a better understanding on what it means to have a “diverse education” beyond academics.
